| so a lot of people got rejected from UCLA. some are taking it lightly, some don't care, and some are blaming the system. some blame UCLA for rejecting them and ignoring their efforts in clubs and community service.
that kind of pisses me off. don't get me wrong: if you got rejected, i am sure you'll make your place in the world elsewhere. getting rejected is never the end of the world.
but people seem to have his misconception that grades and clubs and community service are all you need to get into a school.
in reality, it's not.
i have a great gpa (straight A's for all my years), an ACT score of 31, and an SAT score of 1890. my weaknesses, of course, lie in the fact that my test scores aren't as superb as they should be.
not to say you NEED great scores to get in: some people on college confidential got in with 1600s-1700s.
but the point is.. what's your purpose? what's your drive? do you want to change the world? do you want to DO something and BE someone?
or are you simply looking to get into a nice school for prestige and make money in the future?
who the fuck cares about test scores or your SAT or your efforts in key club and science fair or your GPA? i'm not saying you don't need them, and i'm not saying if you're rejected that you're worthless,
BUT NUMBERS ARE NOT EVERYTHING. |

it's because at one point, i eventually stopped having things to write. i have so many things to express and say, but nearly nothing to write about..
